Frequently asked questions
Can I use an image as a watermark?
Not at the moment. This tool adds text only.
How transparent is the watermark?
You set the opacity from 5 to 100. Lower numbers give a fainter mark that does not hide the page.
Can the watermark be removed later?
It becomes part of the page, so keep your original file if you need a clean copy.
Can I use non-English text?
Yes. Latin text is drawn as real PDF text. Other scripts, such as Urdu, Arabic or Chinese, are drawn as an image so they display correctly.
Is Watermark free to use?
Yes. Watermark is free, with no sign-up and no usage limits.
Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. The work is done in your browser on your own device, so nothing you use here is sent to our servers.
Privacy and safety
Watermark runs entirely in your browser. The files you choose never leave your device and nothing is kept after you close the page.
